PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Three first-half goals, including a two from seniors playing in their final match for Trinity, led the Trolls to a 5-2 victory over Indiana Northwest, at Schaaf Athletic Complex on Saturday.

The Trolls (3-12-2, 2-9-1 CCAC) close out the 2022 campaign with back-to-back wins, and out-shot their opponents by a 29-8 margin on the day. In the 15th minute, James Hutchins gave his team the early lead, scoring a header off Jorge Alencar's corner kick for the 1-0 advantage.

Manasse Mbuyi doubled Trinity's lead 15 minutes later, with Alencar registering his second assist of the day. Alencar broke through with a goal of his own to close out the first half, as the Trolls led 3-0 by the 41st minute.

The Redhawks (3-13, 0-12 CCAC) got on the scoreboard early in the second half, converting a penalty kick to make it a 3-1 game. Trinity then put the game away with two goals in a two-minute stretch, with Martin Markasovic scoring in the 76th minute, then Mbuyi earning his second goal moments later.

Senior Ben Morris earned the win in goal, making one save in the win.
