PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Trinity defense held off the visitors for over an hour, but Holy Cross ultimately broke through in the second half as the Trolls fell to the Saints 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Trinity forward Manasse Mbuyi fired a team-high three shots on goal, including a pair in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net. On other other end of the field, goalkeeper Giorgos Christodoulou made four saves for the Trolls (1-10-2, 1-7-1 CCAC) before the halftime break.

Holy Cross (7-4-1, 5-1-1 CCAC) would take the lead in the 65th minute with the first goal of the match. Fifteen minutes later the visitors would add another, scoring in the 80th minute to secure the win.

The Trolls will look to bounce back next week, when they travel to St. Francis. Kickoff from Joliet on Saturday, October 15 is set for 2:00 p.m.
