PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Three Trolls finished with over 20 points on Wednesday night, but Trinity came up short in working to overcome a first-half deficit in a 95-79 loss to Saint Xavier inside DeVos Gymnasium.

Freshman forward Troy Glover led the way, scoring 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting for the Trolls (3-4, 1-3 CCAC). Michael Wright, Jr. nearly recorded the double-double, finishing with 23 points and nine rebounds, while John Cison scored 21.

Trinity found themselves down early as Saint Xavier (7-3, 5-1 CCAC) jumped out to a 21-11 advantage by the 12:51 mark of the first half. An 8-2 run for the Trolls, highlighted by a pair of dunks from Glover closed the gap to 23-22, but the Cougars responded with ten unanswered to reclaim a 33-22 lead with just over six minutes left in the first half.

Saint Xavier would hold the lead until the break, with Glover's 16 first-half points leading the Trolls.

The Trolls made a run in the second half, with another dunk from Glover and a three-pointer from Cison making it a five-point game, 60-55 with 12:19 to play. That would be as close as they would get, as the Cougars closed on an 18-8 run over the final five minutes of the game.

Trinity will look to bounce back this weekend, as they head to Indiana South Bend on Saturday, December 3. Tipoff with the Titans is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT.
