Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Behind a 20-point performance from Faith Davis, Trinity took a 2-0 start to CCAC play on Saturday afternoon after defeating Calumet 85-57 inside DeVos Gymnasium.
Davis led all scorers while hitting six three-pointers in the win, while also pulling down a game-high eight rebounds. Laila McNeal posted 17 points with six boards, shooting 8-for-13 from the floor.
The Crimson Wave (0-2, 0-2 CCAC) would take an early lead midway through the first quarter, before an 8-0 run highlighted by a pair of threes from Davis put the Trolls (2-0, 2-0 CCAC) in front 12-5 by the 3:25 mark.
Trinity would lead the rest of the way, out-scoring Calumet in the second and third quarters by a combined 47-25.
The Trolls will look for a 3-0 start next week, when they travel to Trinity International on Wednesday, November 9. Tipoff with the Trojans is set for 5:30 p.m.
