Box Score NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Kirsten Kamholz led Trinity in scoring for the first time this year, but the Trolls dropped a road game on Wednesday night to Holy Cross, 72-44.
Kamholz tallied 10 points in just 12 minutes of action off the bench, going 4-for-8 from the floor. Faith Davis and Hannah Schuringa each scored six points, as Schuringa also recorded a team-high nine rebounds and five blocks.
The Trolls (6-11, 3-7 CCAC) took an early lead, as Sofia Radice and Schuringa each put Trinity ahead with a game-opening bucket. The Saints responded, scoring a 14-1 run (10-9, 5-6 CCAC) to move in front before the end of the first quarter, and the home team would remain in front the rest of the way.
Trinity continues the current three-game road swing on Saturday afternoon, as the Trolls return to Indiana to take on the Calumet Crimson Wave. Tipoff from Whiting on January 14 is set for 1:00 p.m.
