Box Score DAVENPORT, Iowa – Sofia Radice led Trinity with 11 points on Thursday night, but the Trolls struggled to find their shot in a road loss, falling 67-36 at St. Ambrose.
Defensively the Trolls held St. Ambrose (11-5, 7-2 CCAC) to a 34% shooting night, but as a team, Trinity (6-9, 3-5 CCAC) shot just 23.4% (15-64) from the floor and went 1-for-20 from three-point range.
Laila McNeal's jumper on the first possession of the game would be the Trolls only points of the first quarter, as the offense struggled through a ten-minute scoring drought. Four points apiece from McNeal and Destiny Goodwin in the second quarter picked up the momentum for the Trolls, but the home team would take a 30-10 lead into the halftime break. Radice scored all 11 of her points in the second half, but Trinity were unable to make a run and close the gap.
The Trolls return home for their next test after nearly a month since their last game in DeVos, when they host Indiana South Bend on Saturday. Tipoff with the Titans is set for 1:00 p.m.
