DAVENPORT, Iowa – Trinity picked up their second straight victory on Friday afternoon, behind a game-high 22 points from John Cison, as the Trolls defeated St. Ambrose, 71-67.

Three players finished in double figures for the Trolls (6-8, 2-6 CCAC), with Cison going 7-for-14 from the floor and recording six rebounds and three assists. Troy Glover posted his fifth double-double of the year, and third in a row, scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Michael Wright tallied 14 points with four boards.

Trinity took an early lead, as Cison would score eight straight points to give the visitors a 15-5 lead by the 14:07 mark of the first half. The Trolls would lead throughout the rest of the first half, with 15 points from Cison and nine from Wright before the break.

The Bees (3-9, 2-6 CCAC) would score the first seven points to start the second half, and would eventually pull even by the 13:01 mark with a three, 48-48. Another three-pointer moments later put the Bees in front by a point, and a pair of free throws near the mid-point of the second half would give the home team their largest lead of the game, 53-50.

Glover and Jayden Bridgeman would combine for three straight field goals in a 90-second span, putting Trinity back in front 56-55. St. Ambrose would rally to tie the game once more in the final minute of play, but the Trolls would go a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line while forcing a turnover on the defensive end to secure the victory.

The Trolls won't have much time to celebrate, as the team returns to DeVos Gymnasium to host Indiana South Bend on Saturday. Tipoff with the Titans is set for 3:00 p.m.
