Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Destiny Goodwin came off the bench to lead Trinity with 11 points, but a tough day shooting proved too much for the Trolls' solid defensive effort to overcome in a 58-24 loss to Indiana South Bend.
Goodwin went 5-for-7 from the floor in 31 minutes of action, bringing down a team-high seven rebounds on the day. Katarina Savic and Hannah Schuringa each posted four points as the team's next-leading scorers.
The 58 points allowed by the Trolls (6-10, 3-6 CCAC) was the lowest opposing point total in over a month, but offensively the home team struggled to build momentum after Laila McNeal's game-opening bucket gave Trinity the early lead. Indiana South Bend (15-1, 10-1 CCAC) responded with nine straight points and would lead thoughout the rest of the game.
The Trolls will look to get back on track on Wednesday night, when they travel to face Holy Cross. Tipoff from Notre Dame, Ind. is set for 4:30 p.m. CT / 5:30 p.m. ET.
