Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - A big first quarter led Trinity to a 57-33 victory over Trinity International on Wednesday night.
Faith Davis led the team with 12 points on four made three-pointers, while Sofia Radice and Chloe Kaptein each scored eight.
The Trolls (10-12, 6-10 CCAC) team jumped out to a quick 14-4 lead of after the first quarter, by forcing six turnovers from the Trojans (3-18, 1-13 CCAC). With a back-and-forth second quarter, Trinity's reserves would shine, as all 18 points in the period came from the bench, giving the Trolls a 32-16 lead going into halftime.
In the third quarter the Trolls kept their foot on the gas and pushed their lead to 22 points going up 51-29 by the end of the period, led by six points on a pair of three-pointers from Davis.
Trinity now prepares for a weekend road trip, as they travel to take on St. Francis on Saturday, February 4. Tipoff from Joliet is set for 1:00 p.m.
