PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – After leading Trinity Men's Soccer to a pair of victories last week, senior left back Tiago Alfieri pulled off a rare double on Tuesday, and was named both the CCAC's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week.

The Sao Paolo native swept the weekly awards after anchoring a defensive line that surrendered just one goal over two matches, as the Trolls extended their season-opening win streak to four matches following a 4-0 road win at St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) on Tuesday, and a 2-1 victory at Hannibal LaGrange (Mo.) on Saturday.

Playing out of the defense, Alfieri registered two assists, including on the game-winning goal, while scoring a goal himself against the Pomeroys on Tuesday. On Saturday, Alfieri picked up another assist against the Trojans.

Trinity returns to Schaaf Athletic Complex on Wednesday afternoon, when they host Aquinas (Mich.) at 4:00 p.m.
