DAVENPORT, Iowa – Three event wins and three national standards were met on Saturday, as Trinity Track & Field competed at the St. Ambrose Fighting Bee Invite.
For the third time in three meets this winter, Ivan Emde would take home first place in the men's pole vault while meeting the NCCAA qualifying standard. Emde was the only athlete in the field to clear 14' 5.25" (4.40m), matching his career best and earning his second win of the season.
Another P.R. and NCCAA mark was met in the field events, with freshman Andrew Wicker placing fourth in the men's high jump. Wicker jumped for a personal-best 6' 0" (1.83m) on his third and final attempt, coming just 0.01 meters shy of Trinity's all-time indoor record.
In the women's events, Alysia Arias met the NCCAA mark for the second time in the 200 meters, posting a time of 27.74 to place third, breaking into the 27-second range for the first time.
The Trolls picked up two more wins on the day, with Trenton Brown taking first place in the men's 1,000 meters, finishing in 2:46.77. The women's 4x400m relay team would also bring home the top prize, as the combination of Arias, Aolani Cannon, Aalyssa Gunn, and Ella Johnston finished in 4:19.57.

The Trolls are back in action on Friday, when they compete at the Olivet Nazarene Walter Cramer Invitational on Friday, Jan. 31.
