• Trinity Cross Country gets the 2025 season underway on Friday evening, when the Trolls compete at the Fighting Saints Twilight Invite, hosted by St. Francis at the Channahon Community Park in Channahon, Ill.
• The women's squad return five of the seven scoring runners at last season's CCAC Championships, led by junior Ariana Juarez. On the men's side, six of the top seven are back, including sophomore
Jacob Brouwer, who was the team's top returning finisher at last year's conference championship.
• Senior
Aitor Moya holds the Trolls' fastest time on the 5-kilometer Channahon Community Park course; the Madrid, Spain native has the team's only sub-18 time at the Twilight Invite, running 17:59.5 last year.
• On the women's side, senior
Jordyn Fleener's time from 2023 stands as the team's best among active runners, and the Trolls' only time under 20 minutes (19:25.8).
• The women's team placed 6th at the Twilight Invite last season, with the men's team coming in 9th. Trinity's best overall team finish at the Twilight Invite was 2nd for the women (2014 & 2017), and 3rd for the men (2014, 2016, 2022).
• Two Trolls has claimed the individual title at the Twilight Invite: Anna Bos in 2014 (18:52.2) and Megan DeWeerd in 2017 (17:34.4)
• The Trolls will square off against three CCAC teams on Friday; Governors State and Saint Xavier will compete in the Twilight Invite, along with the host Saints.
