Box Score The Trinity men's basketball team traveled to Goshen, Ind. to take on the Goshen College Maple Leafs. After 40 minutes of play, the Trolls were able to pull out their first win of the season.
During the first half, Trolls had a slow start as they had a 12-point deficit in the first nine minutes. But once the 10-minute mark came about, senior Sterling Brown sparked the Trolls offense. By halftime, Trinity was up by one, and from there, they never gave up the lead. At the end of the contest, the Trolls defeated the Maple Leafs 74-64.
Brown led the way for Trinity as he recorded 23 points for his best finish as a Troll. He also led the team in assists with five. Also finishing with double-digit points was freshman Braxton Barnhizer, who ended the game with 14 points. Senior Jalyn Clark, senior TJ Lacey and sophomore Erik Cohn also contributed heavily to the Trolls offense, all registering eight points each. Junior Ngoye Bob-Manuel also added three blocks.
The Trolls will be back in action again tomorrow, Nov. 19, as the men's basketball team hosts their first home game against the Indiana Northwest Red Hawks. No spectators will be allowed in the DeVos Gymnasium. Fans can watch the Trolls compete at portal.stretchinternet.com/tcc.
