Box Score PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Despite a second-half rally, Trinity fell at home to Trinity International 88-75 on Wednesday night.
Jayden Bridgeman led the way for the Trolls (9-13, 5-11 CCAC), scoring a career-high 23 points to lead all scorers, on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor. Saeer Miller finished with 21 points and four assists, while Troy Glover posted ten points, nine rebounds, and a pair of blocked shots.
Through the first ten minutes of the game, the Trolls and Trojans (13-9, 8-6 CCAC) were in a neck-and-neck battle that saw eight lead changes in the first half. The visitors would start to pull away however, building a ten-point advantage by the 4:37 mark of the first half. The Trojans would continue to pull away, pushing their lead to 46-33 at halftime.
Coming out of half the Trolls had a bounced back with three straight unanswered three-pointers that put them right back in the game and cut the lead to 10 points, 56-46 with 14:50 to play. Trinity gained even more momentum after a clutch putback dunk by Dustin Hudak midway through the second half. With a little under 8 minutes left, Troy Glover's layup cut the lead down to 6 points.
The Trojans responded with an 8-2 run in over the next two minutes, as the Trolls would score just one field goal over the final four minutes as Trinity International sealed the win.
The Trolls will look to bounce back on Saturday, February 4, when they travel to take on St. Francis. Tipoff from Joliet is set for 3:00 p.m.
