Trolls compete at Warrior Invitational

The Trinity women's cross country team recorded their lowest score in three seasons, while four runners on the men's squad set personal bests at the Warrior Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday.

The Trolls finished third as a team in the women's 6k, and was the top non-D1 team in the event with 80 points. Sophomore Ariadna Juarez led the way, finishing 8th overall with a time of 25:40. Three more Trolls finished in the top 20, including Olivia Wrobel (16th; 26:47), Alyssa Seinen (18th; 26:56), and Maddy Butler (19th; 27:02).

In the men's 8k, Aitor Moya paced the Trolls for the first time this season, finishing 40th overall with a time of 31:04. As a team, Trinity would place 6th with a score of 182 points.

Jacob Brower (31:15) and Jeremiah Klompien (31:17) each set personal records and placed among the top 50, while Jack Lovelace set a P.R. and a season-best 61st-place finish with a time of 35:56.

The Trolls are back in action next week, when they travel to South Bend, Ind. to compete in the Bethel Pilot Invitational on Friday, Oct. 11.
