BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Trinity Cross Country battled through high temperatures on Friday afternoon, as the Trolls competed in the Midwest Classic, hosted by Olivet Nazarene at the Aspen Ridge Golf Course.

Leading the way in the women's 5k race for Trinity was Olivia Wrobel, who placed 59th overall with a time of 23:19. Alyssa Seinen (23:44) and Angelina Calvillo (24:28) each posted top-70 times in the race to finish as the team's second and third runners.

In the men's race, Jeremiah Klompein was the team's top finisher for the first time in his career, completing the 8k course in 32:30 to finish 96th overall.

The Trolls will prepare for their next meet, scheduled for Saturday, October 5 when Trinity takes on the Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior Invite in West Allis, Wisc.
